Reports indicate that the Warrant Officer was nabbed during an undercover investigation by plain-clothed investigators who feigned interest in buying the weapons.
According to sources, the suspect called to inform the fake agents that weapons were ready for pickup at the Bekwai shell filling station. Brew was arrested while in the process of handing over the weapons to the supposed agents for GHc80,000.
During interrogation, he admitted that he sells the weapons to people in and around Obuasi.
Investigators have so far launched a hunt for his accomplices believed to be criminals tormenting residents in and around the Ashanti Region.
Where could he be getting the weapons from?
