The Terminal of the Tamale International Airport in Ghana, in the Far North, is built on 5,000 square meters, capable of holding 400,000 passengers per year. The runway measures 3940 meters.

A new 5-kilometer road network has been built to facilitate access to the airport. The multi-purpose terminal is used to facilitate the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. Pilgrims even come from neighboring Burkina. Large carrier planes take off directly from this northern city to Saudi Arabia.
Completed in August 2023 the cost is $70 million, which is the total project, including a new road: FCFA 42 billion.
