Earlier today during an official visit to France, I was conferred with the title of Grand Officier de la Légion d’Honneur by the President of the French Republic,

. This distinguished honour, awarded during an official visit to France is one of the highest ranks within France’s Légion d’Honneur, an order of merit established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte.
