"I’d Rather See My Face Aging Than a Face That Doesn’t Belong to Me"
Cameron Diaz is choosing to embrace aging on her own terms, taking a rare stand in an industry obsessed with stopping the clock.
While cosmetic treatments have become standard practice in Hollywood, the Charlie's Angels star revealed she avoids Botox and facial injectables entirely. Her reason? She values authenticity over artificial youth:

"I'd rather see my face aging than a face that doesn't belong to me at all."
In a culture that constantly pushes perfection, Diaz's perspective is a refreshing reminder that growing older is a privilege, not a flaw to fix.

Too much talking than action when it comes to this LGBTQ+ law.
I trust no politician in this country when it comes to this nonsense Called LGBTQ+. Meanwhile, those who forced this nonsense on us are themselves running away from it, yet we still are afraid to reject it.

A major diplomatic storm is brewing over Ghana’s decision to increase royalty rates on gold mining. And the reaction from Ghanaians is loud, clear, and fiercely patriotic.
The Pressure:
According to reports by Citi 97.3 FM, the United States, the United Kingdom, and China have all opposed the proposed increase, putting intense diplomatic pressure on Accra to reconsider the policy. These are the same global powers that have historically benefited from our resources, and now they are pushing back as Ghana tries to get a better deal.
The Patriotic Pushback:
The opposition from these foreign powers has triggered a wave of outrage on social media. Ghanaians are asking a fundamental question: Why should foreign countries have a say in how we manage our own gold wealth?
Commentators argue that Ghana has every right to determine its own fiscal policies to ensure our natural resources contribute more significantly to national development.
Many are also accusing these foreign powers of blatant double standards. They note that the US, UK, and China frequently introduce their own tariffs and trade restrictions to protect their domestic economies. So why is it a problem when Ghana does the same?
The Demand for Fairness:
The conversation has gone beyond just royalties. Many citizens are now demanding that any country seeking favorable access to Ghana’s resources must be prepared to offer meaningful benefits in return—including concessions like visa-free travel for Ghanaians.
This is bigger than just gold. It is a symbol of national pride and Africa's wider movement to reclaim control of its resources and establish balanced economic relationships with the West.
Should Ghana stand firm and demand what is fair? Or should we bow to the pressure?

A high school student from Virginia has designed a water filter that removes nearly 96% of microplastics from drinking water — without using a filter membrane at all.

Mia Heller, from Warrenton, Virginia, got the idea after reading about microplastic and PFAS contamination in local water and watching her mother constantly replace expensive membranes in the family's home filtration system. She wondered whether plastic particles could be pulled out of water a different way.
Her answer was ferrofluid — an oily liquid packed with tiny magnetic particles. When it is mixed into water, microplastics stick to the oil. A magnet then pulls the ferrofluid, along with the captured plastic, back out of the water. In her tests, the system removed about 96% of microplastics, and roughly 87% of the ferrofluid could be recovered and reused.
Her compact prototype, about the size of a bag of flour, earned a special award at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
Important context: this is a student prototype tested in the lab, not a product you can buy. It would need more testing for safety, scale and long-term performance before it could be used in homes or treatment plants.
Still, it's a brilliant example of how a curious teenager with a simple idea can take on one of the planet's biggest pollution problems.
